So, during the gallery hop this weekend, Anne & I bumped into Paul Robinett of YouTube fame (he runs a candle company headquartered in the Short North) and started talking to him. Before we knew it he had whipped out his macbook and started recording us for a video he was going to upload about his adventures that night. The proposed routes were announced the other day for the hopefully to-be-coming-soon streetcars here in Columbus, Ohio. There were 3 routes proposed. I took the route images from the Columbus Dispatch website and photoshopped them all together to see how they would all look overlapping.

I can’t wait to ride it! There’s a stop not far from my house!

I’m going to be DJing at Bristol in two weeks. Will be my first “real” time DJing there since the last time was last minute and I didn’t have much time to invite anyone out for it. Hopefully this month will be a little better. We shall see. You can click on the little flyer picture to the right for details. An ad for it will be running in the Columbus Alive next week, so I’ll have to pick up a copy of that.

Anne & I went out on Friday to meet up with Bob & Ann. I only took a few pictures since my camera battery was nearly dead. We hung out at the Char Bar awhile before heading to Hounddog’s for the worst service ever. You can read about that whole ordeal here.

So yeah, Dave & I DJ’ed at Kooma a few weeks ago (the picture above is of Dave), and I have to say it went MUCH better than the last outing. Probably because I was playing music I’ve always felt more comfortable mixing… deep minimal techy funk house… not too loud… not too “IN YOUR FACE”… just nice music to chill and nod your head to. Anyway, we tagged back and forth for nearly four hours until the place closed down and then Dave & Betsy headed home while Anne & I zoomed over to the Char Bar for a Long Island with Bob & Ann. They were doing a SPD “pub” crawl but we didn’t really have the energy to join them for more than one drink.

The next day we laid around the house… watched the movie Gandhi… I tried my hand at some homemade pizzas (topped with diced tomatoes, roasted red peppers, sauteed garlic & onions, and mozzarella) which turned out pretty good. Anne’s made them a few times, and she’s an überpro already at making pies, but I’m pretty much an amateur at making dough. It was a bit sticky and my pies were thicker than I wanted them to be, but oh well. Chalk it up to experience I guess.
