The Walker Evans Effect

I’m going to be DJing at Bristol in two weeks. Will be my first “real” time DJing there since the last time was last minute and I didn’t have much time to invite anyone out for it. Hopefully this month will be a little better. We shall see. You can click on the little flyer picture to the right for details. An ad for it will be running in the Columbus Alive next week, so I’ll have to pick up a copy of that.

Yeah, I love to cook. There are certain things that I especially love to make… here’s a picture of what I made for our 4th of July party last weekend…. Hummus, Salsa, and Guacamole. I made more than what’s pictured, but our cool serving plate is a little small to hold it all. Anyway, at least it looks nice as far as presentation goes…

We’re also having a party this weekend, and I made 3 kinds of salsa last night… one mild… one hot… and one PEACH (for Annie).

Yesterday I went with a co-worker over to the new event in downtown Columbus called Taco+Beer. It’s a social networking type of thing where free tacos and free beer is provided! Always see some familiar faces there and it’s cool to meet some new people and talk about things. Did I mention they have free beer and free tacos??? The beer is a microbrew from our local Elevator Brewing Company, and the Tacos are courtesy of Due Amici. If you haven’t checked it out yet and are in Cølumbus you need to GO!

Yeah, I have a camera phone, and I try to use it as much as I can since I pay for the camera/internet features. I probably surf CNN on it every day when I’ve got time to kill and look up weather and movie times on it pretty frequently too.

As for the camera, I mainly just take whatever retarded pictures I can and email them to my friends. This latest cam-pic came from a party supply store this evening and went out to several people. It’s also currenly my background image on my phone.
